Paternity

What happens when paternity is contested? Once the appropriate documentation is filed with the Court, the Court will then schedule the matter for a Hearing, wherein an Order will be issued directing the contesting party and the child for a DNA test. The DNA test will help determine whether the contesting party is the biological parent. The Parties will be informed of the DNA results at a subsequent Hearing.
